Kenyan agency plans huge cold chain facility in East Africa

A leading Kenyan warehouse and logistics service provider Cold Solutions, says it’s going to make investments USD 70 million to assemble the most important chilly chain facility in East Africa to address challenges that face transportation of perishable goods.
Cold Solution’s 15,000 sqm flagship facility in Tatu City Special Economic Zone in Nairobi will be the largest, most superior and environment friendly in the area. The cold chain facility is flexibly designed to cater for quite a few temperature ranges from +26 to -40 C and multiple product ranges, from recent fruit and greens, to pharmaceuticals and vaccines, meats and poultry, and frozen foods.
Cold Solutions Kenya is a portfolio firm of ARCH Cold Chain Solutions East Africa Fund, a non-public fairness fund suggested by ARCH Emerging Markets Partners Limited (ARCH).
