Pfeiffer Vacuum expands range to offer excessive pumping speeds

Pfeiffer Vacuum is expanding the HiLobe sequence through intelligent, high performance Roots pumps with excessive pumping speeds.
Potential uses of the model new Pfeiffer Vacuum pumps in industrial vacuum applications include electron beam welding, vacuum furnaces, freeze drying and, significantly, fast evacuations (lock chambers or leak detection systems). These vacuum pumps are additionally suitable for use in coating purposes and with their individual velocity control, they can be tailored to customer-specific necessities.
Their highly effective drive concept shortens pump-down times by around 20% compared to typical Roots pumps. Rapid evacuation also saves costs and will increase the efficiency of production systems. The use of energy-efficient drives and the optimised rotor geometries reduces energy prices by more than 50%, also reinforced by the sealing idea.
The pumps are hermetically sealed from the atmosphere and have a maximum integral leak rate of 1 · 10-6 Pa m³/s. Dynamic seals are eliminated, so upkeep is only needed every 4 years.
The intelligent interface know-how of the HiLobe ensures optimal process adjustment and situation monitoring. Condition monitoring offers constant data on the state of the vacuum system and increases system availability as upkeep and service work may be planned accordingly.
