Founded in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1946, Waukesha Bearings opened its Antigo manufacturing facility in May 1972, with a staff of three full-time workers. In 2019, the plant expanded to a hundred,000 sq ft of manufacturing area and now employs one hundred twenty people. The manufacturing area was added to accommodate manufacturing for marine bearing systems and different new tasks awarded to the corporate.
“We are proud of our success and progress to turn out to be a supplier of precision bearings to a few of the largest multi-national firms from our small-town, Northern Wisconsin location,” said Mark Greenlund, plant manager.
To have fun the 50-year milestone, the corporate is planning an event on the facility for workers and lengthening its outreach to the neighborhood to educate them on the profession alternatives available at the site. “We are looking for folks inside the Antigo neighborhood who need to be part of the subsequent 50 years of success at Waukesha Bearings,” stated Greenlund.
