KSB completes enlargement of GIW’s Grovetown facility

KSB has announced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase enlargement of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the expansion have been permitted in 2013 in response to growing market demand for larger tools. Since then, the Grovetown facility has completed upgrades, added tens of hundreds of square toes to its foundry, elevated furnace capability, completed development on a distribution centre, and received approval for three additional phases of improvement.
With the completion of the venture, KSB has quadrupled its capacity to mould castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), elevated its maximum pouring output by as a lot as 66,000 lbs (30,000 kg), lowered the variety of required shot blast runs by 50%, added particular cleaning stations for big castings, carried out new know-how and efficiency options, and doubled worker locker room services.
KSB went forward with the project’s completion, regardless of the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic fallout.
