Lewa expands product range with new sizes

German pump manufacturer Lewa has added to its product range with two new pump sizes in its Ecosmart diaphragm metering pump vary for use in functions with higher move rates to be used in the chemical business and industrial wastewater treatment.

In addition to the LCA version, the Ecosmart may even be available within the extra highly effective LCC and LCD versions in the future. While the LCC model can meter up to 1,000 l/h, Lewa has designed the LCD for a move price of up to 2,000 l/h.
The use of similar elements inside the Ecosmart product family retains production costs low. At the same time, a high level of safety may be assured by focusing on all essential design features such as the stress relief valve or the confirmed sandwich diaphragm with continuous monitoring.
In order to be able to provide the Ecosmart for purposes with higher circulate rates, the engineers at Lewa started creating two additional, larger pump variants in 2019. The purpose was to scale up the Ecosmart to bigger applications while retaining the safety levels and high quality Lewa components without considerably rising funding costs.
Among the adjustments had been bigger plunger diameters which were selected for the smaller LCC variant, in order that up to 1,000 l per hour can be conveyed as a substitute of 300 l per hour. In the case of the more highly effective LCD version, engineers decided to extend the stroke length so that a most circulate price of 2,000 l per hour could probably be achieved. Both pump types can work in opposition to a maximum operating strain of 50 bar.
After successful completion of all tests and final adjustments, the Ecosmart model LCC is now in the marketplace, the LCD model will comply with in mid-2022.
