Svanehøj launches control system for cargo offloading

Danish pump producer Svanehøj has launched its newly developed environmentally friendly Flow Control system, which automates the management of electrical cargo pumps on tankers.
The launch of the newly developed software-based control system follows a successful test in collaboration with the Swedish shipping company Furetank on the P&C tanker Fure Ven. The 18,000 DWT vessel was in-built 2019 as one of Furetank’s V-Series, a new era of climate-smart P&C tankers.
Svanehøj’s system makes it faster, simpler, and more environment friendly to function electrical cargo pumps. It ensures an optimum changeover between tanks and pumps in parallel, decreasing the time needed for cargo discharge by as a lot as 20% as a outcome of the system will automatically function at the optimum duty point. เกจวัดแรงดันดิจิตอลราคา allows the operator to take full control of the pumps, simplifying the complete cargo discharge operation without putting in any additional hardware.
Fure Ven is among the first vessels at Furetank to have electrical cargo pumps installed. The firm has recorded a 25% reduction in energy and fuel consumption in relation to cargo discharge operations compared to vessels in the fleet that have hydraulic pumps.
