Trillium Flow Technologies is buying Termomeccanica Pompe SpA, the Italian engineered pump manufacturing firm that serves the power, desalination, water transmission and oil and gas markets.
The two firms have signed a joint agreement that can deliver the Termomeccanica Pompe, Gabbioneta Pumps and Begemann manufacturers collectively under the Trillium umbrella in Italy.
When the deal closes, La Spezia-based Termomeccanica will focus on developing the ecological and gasoline compression sectors, where its subsidiaries TME and TMIC operate.
Trillium, a portfolio firm of global private equity investment agency First Reserve, is the former Weir Flow Control enterprise. The firm is a worldwide designer, producer and aftermarket services provider of engineered valves and pumps used in the water and wastewater, global energy generation, oil and gas, mining, and general course of industries.
