Valmet opens new service centre in Chile for mining and metals

Valmet is including a new move control solutions service centre in Antofagasta, Chile, expanding its providing to the mining and metals trade.
The Antofagasta service centre starts working this month.
The new Antofagasta service centre will provide a full vary of flow management companies, including the substitute and maintenance of valves, pumps and third-party tools. It will enable agile supply of critical spare and wear components in addition to digital instruments and services for the whole product and plant life cycle. The service centre may also function a buyer training facility.
The Valmet portfolio for mining, metals and steel contains the Neles, Jamesbury, Neles Easyflow and Flowrox manufacturers.
Valmet entered into the flow management business in April 2022 when the economic flow management company Neles was merged into Valmet.
“Over the years, we’ve systematically expanded our flow management installed base and answer offering for the mining and metals industry in the region,” says Fabio Maia, head of the South & Central America Area at Valmet’s Flow Control enterprise line. “The new facility allows us to higher respond to the growing demand for buyer help in addition to drive our enlargement in minerals processing. From Antofagasta, our service groups will be close to buyer operations in Chile and in Peru.”
